The Nutrition Department of New Albany School is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well-being, and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong and fitness practices.
Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and apealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of the students.
Serving over 2500 meals each and every school day, our offerings meet the tough federal nutrition standards for school meals and age specific portions. We also offer food, healthy snacks, and beverages by the high school gym each day for students staying after school.
An automated point of service system is in use at every school location. Students are set up for an account and given an ID number they must enter to account for their meal. Parents are encouraged to pre-pay for student meals online; however, payment can also be made at the register. Checks are preferred with student's name listed on the memo line.
We encourage you to explore our website and, as always, please contact me with any questions you may have about our program at 413-8589 or via Charles.firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to serving our students!
